Industry features in Paris Post-it® war

Famed for its fabulous food and wine, and of course its art, France has taken the latter to a new level in the war of Post-it note art.  Since the middle of the year, office windows across Paris have featured Post-it note images ranging from popular cartoon characters to computer game images,  and from company logos to famous stars.

As the photo shows, France’s national chemicals federation Union des Industries Chimiques has joined the fray, with industry’s very own Responsible Care logo featuring large on a window of its office building in La Défense.

With industry’s commitment to improve the profile of Responsible Care during 2011, UIC’s example is probably one of the most unusual, and certainly high profile, examples that we came across during 2011.

UIC’s Communication Director Hélène Méjean and Responsible Care manager Alain Pierrat admits that it was not viewed as best use of their time when they started the project – which took around 2 hours to complete – but once it was finished even top management had to agree it was an eye-catching and even cost-effective means of communicating Responsible Care to the public!
